It was so late when we got to the Cisneros home – but they made us feel so welcome. In our room were gift bags from the Ecuador Branch, as well as gifts from the Cisneros family and a cute Welcome sign over our bed.
The Branch was very thoughtful and included all kinds of helpful information, as well as maps – of Quito – and the stadium. Of course, our purple lanyards for our name badges were given to us, which we told to wear at all times. It got us into the seating section for the delegates – and got us all kinds of celebrity treatment, we were to find out later.
The Cisneros’ had some hats made especially for us. Charles basically wore his the whole time we were in Ecuador. It helped us to spot him in the crowd. Steve and Vero received the same hats – we got lots of compliments on them – they were especially cute with the jw.org on the ribbon.
